About #TeamWRK

Meet the Team

Dads, moms, leaders, brothers, sisters, physicians, teachers, deans, directors, social workers, planners, helpers, husbands, entrepreneurs, wives, friends, doers, runners. Our reasons for running are are as diverse as we are. Yet we are united not by running, but by our thirst for life, our affinity for accepting a challenge and our commitment to each teammate’s success.

We run as an expression of our character, an open letter to our community and a moving metaphor for chasing one’s dreams.

We. Run. Kings.

I run because my health depends on it. I run because it's a mental battlefield of me against me.

Running is like a form of meditation for me. When running long distances, it helps me gain control over my thoughts and focus on areas of my life where I'd like to experience growth. I also love the feeling of accomplishment I experience when crossing a finish line & getting a medal. It's a constant reminder that with the right combination of effort & perseverance, I'm capable of completing anything.

I started running simply because I wanted a change. I wanted to accomplish my goal of running a HALF MARATHON and with the training and dedicated teammates around me, I accomplished that goal and set new ones.
